Would your congregation like to have a Vacation Bible School? Do you think you don’t have enough teachers or children to even consider it?

You are not alone! Many congregations have given up on Bble Schools as too labor intensive. Yet, summer Bible Schools are the single best mission-outreach any neighborhood church can have.

2×2 is pioneering an effort which retools the VBS concept for the realities of struggling congregations. We will train and supply leaders to help congregations re-establish the VBS tradition.

VBS-Aid trains a team of teachers, music leaders, crafts leaders, games leaders and people to work with your members in outreach. The teams can be as small as three or as many as eight or ten — whatever your congregation needs to host a Vacation Bible School. VBS-Aid offers HELP!

• Hands-on help to run a two-week program.
• Help in advance to plan, recruit and train.
• Help expanding an existing program to reach a broader range of ages for more time.
• Help identifying a mission program which will be part of the curriculum and help your congregation connect with your neighborhood.
• Help connecting with other resources which may be available through your denomination.
• Help planning a fall follow-up, so that the mission effort is not a shot in the dark but part of intentional mission planning.

This is serious, concentrated, hands-on help. The cost (about $5000) is much less than hiring a youth minister or education director and can be at least partially recouped from the program.

The program can be adapted to any setting. Although we are centered in southeastern Pennsylvania, if six-eight congregations in any region (50-mile radius) are interested, we will plan a team for your region.
